What I like to call brain lint

Miscellaneous little tidbits that have collected in my head:

I saw that fashion critic, Mr. Blackwell, has died. Maybe because I am wearing black shoes with my navy pants today. Now who's going to give us 'The Lists' every year? Probably not me *hiding shoes*.

My mail-in ballot came on Saturday so I'm going to 'vote' during lunch today. This is SO much better than standing in line... not that my presidential vote will matter, because I live in such a homogenous state of people who vote the OTHER way. The people-in-charge don't think that we all can vote responsibly enough to abolish the electoral college. I DO NOT GET THIS.

Speaking of voting... did you hear that Colin Powell is voting for Barack instead of his 'good friend' John McCain? That's gotta smart a little.

From Alpha: Sarah Palin... parasailin'... coincidence? You decide.

I was going to watch SNL to see SP but decided to watch a movie instead, figuring it's easier to grab the 'good parts' off the internet. I can't decide if I'm efficient or lazy.

Omega's got a nasty case of the coughy crud. Even when they are 16, mom-ears still pick up that kind of thing in the middle of the night. I suppose this will ripple through the troops like the last thing she brought home. She's always been generous, that one.

Researchers have now found that women who got 6 to 7 hours of sleep were 11 pounds heavier than those who slept 7 to 8 hours a night. So... I just need to figure out a way to get... let's see... about 20 hours of sleep. Okay, I'm exaggerating but no shit, Sherlock, the more you sleep the less time you have to eat. And all these years they've been prescribing weight-loss pills that energize us. Chalk one more up for lazy!

Still haven't decided what to wear to work for Halloween. I'm kind of a last minute, throw-it-together kind of girl... aka: procrastinator extroardiare. Too lazy to spellcheck that.

Well, I'm sure there's more but I think you've suffered enough.

Have a Monday everyone.

I think the best costume for Halloween is the simplest, go as a nudist!

Or you could go as an Indifferent Observer. Shouldn't be too difficult...and you could always take a nap to stay "in character". ;o)

Go as a supervisor! Carry a clip board and do no work!

Pin a cotton ball on your head and say you are a q-tip. I'm not so much liking you over here because you get way ahead of me on the blogging and then I have to play catch up... me = whining.

I like what Alpha said ;)

Oh and for the record there just isn't much better in this world than a margarita at 12 in the afternoon on a Monday. Am I wrong? ;)

Happy Monday

I so much enjoy catching up on Jane's life. But I'm do lazy that I almost didn't comment.

I'll get back to you with a costume idea.

First, I thought you were supposed to wear black shoes with navy pants...? Is that wrong? Oh crap.

Second, I'm with you on the Electoral College. HATE IT.

Third, if you figure out what a procrastinator's costume is suppose to look, let me know... I want to wear it, too!

And what's wrong with wearing black shoes with navy pants? Do you know how hard it is to find a stylish pair of navy shoes? You know, ones that don't look like they belong on your grandmother's feet? I've given up trying to find a pair.
And now I don't remember what else I wanted to write and because Blogspot doesn't include the original text so you can go back and reference it, I'm just SOL!
Enough of my dribble!

Oh whoops, if I click on "Show Original Post" I can see everything again! Doh - my blonde is showing!

Oh yea, about the sleep thing - I would need to get at least 20 hours! I'm lucky if I get 6, so that explains my expanding derrier!

Alpha - good one!

I think, if I were you, I would go as Lance Armstrong. Then you wouldn't have to change clothes when you get to work. The sweatiness from riding your bike will eventually dry up. Or is it already too cold to cycle to work? If so, stick a 2x4 up your butt and go as a popsicle.

I wear the same costume every year. I always go as that bitch that works in the athletic department. Ha!

1. It's fine to wear black shoes with Navy-but not after Veteran's Day.

2. You have invented The Sleep Diet. I like it, as long as it involves Big Buffet Breakfasts.

3. I'm gonna go out a limb here and suggest "Sexy Office Worker." But if the level of originality overwhelms you, I'm also gonna go with "Sexy Boss." Just don't wear the glasses or people will confuse you with the girls who are going as Palin.

Oh My GAWD!!! Now the link between my sleeplessness and my fat ass finally comes out???? WTF? I tried the melatonin . . . and let me just say that although it did work, it worked ALL DAY the next day. I couldn't shake out of the fog. I'd have to take it at 6PM to get up by 6AM and still function all day. Crap, guess I'm left with no choice but healthy diet and exercise. Life is not fair!
